Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Pistachio AI (“Pistachio”) uses cookies and similar technologies on our website and in our Service. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by websites you visit. They let sites recognize your device across pages and visits. We also use similar technologies like local storage and server-set session tokens, which we describe collectively as “cookies” here for simplicity.
2. Cookies We Use
Strictly necessary
These are required to run the Service. Without them, you cannot sign in, keep a session, or complete a purchase. We rely on our legitimate interest to operate the Service for these cookies, and you cannot opt out of them without losing functionality.
- Session tokens — keep you signed in between pages.
- CSRF protection — prevent cross-site request forgery.
- Stripe checkout — required to complete a subscription purchase securely.
Analytics and performance
These help us understand how the Service is used so we can improve it. They do not personally identify you to us.
- Vercel Analytics — aggregates anonymous page-view and performance data. Vercel Analytics does not use third-party cookies to track visitors across sites.
Functional
These remember preferences and settings you have chosen, such as theme or whether you have dismissed a banner.
3. Third-Party Cookies
We do not embed third-party advertising trackers. Some of our service providers — notably Stripe for payment processing — may set their own cookies during specific flows (e.g., checkout). Those cookies are governed by the provider’s policies.
4. Managing Cookies
Most browsers let you view, delete, or block cookies through their settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of the Service will not work. You can typically find cookie controls in:
- Chrome — Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Safari — Settings → Privacy
- Firefox — Settings → Privacy & Security
- Edge — Settings → Cookies and site permissions
5. Do Not Track
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. Because there is no common industry standard for responding to DNT signals, we do not currently respond to them. We continue to monitor developments in this area.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as the Service evolves. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, provide additional notice.
